How to win over a challenging market in india: inside Eatiko's success story

Over the years digital technology has evolved and almost all sectors have benefited from this advancement. To name one of the industries that has benefited the most from that, is the food delivery industry. So, the concept of online food delivery is not new, it has been here for years. Zomato is an online restaurant search and delivery platform founded in 2008 under the name ‘FoodieBay’.

Success stories like Eatiko’s in Kerala inspire faith in innovation and hard work. Founded by Rejil Rahman and Fawas Kollaran, Eatiko is Kerala’s leading food delivery app. Eatiko provides restaurant information, menus and user reviews. It also offers food delivery options from partner restaurants in selected cities.

The Leap Into Technology

The story goes back to 2019, The com­pa­ny were start­ed by ambi­tious entre­pre­neurs who grew their busi­ness­es to be the num­ber one food deliv­ery play­ers in their home mar­kets and many oth­ers around the world. Rejil Rahman, He is an entrepreneur who is an MBA holder in IT based international business and founder of Howincloud Solutions. Fawas Kollaran is a well experienced businessman in the textile industry and he has worked abroad.

As though, they went through many tough situations and faced failure in business. After deciding to start a food delivery service in perinthalmanna, Within a few months the prototype of the app came into existence by Howincloud Solutions Pvt Ltd under the guidance of CTO Soofy Waseem. The CMO, Edwin Roy had previously worked at Uber eats as an Senior sales manager. Next, he went on to be the head of marketing on Eatiko. Like all other startups, Eatiko faced many crises and challenges. The company’s main pain was the inefficient delivery system, the time it took runners to complete the delivery.

Eatiko has created a link between restaurants and customers by providing live on-demand service. A key factor behind the hype created by the company is its business model.  Eatiko, on the other hand, is designed to be easy for users to use. Users can see ratings from one to five based on a combination of delivery quality, customer feedback and overall popularity. So, the app gives customers a wide selection of their favorite restaurants. The Company has a bright future ahead as pandemic lockdowns lead to increasing orders for food supply companies.

Not everyone can succeed, it requires a lot of hard work, dedication, great work, the right team and customer support. With a large delivery fleet and proprietary technology, Eatiko’s vision is to deliver easily to their precious customers.

Accomplishment

Eatiko uses its cutting-edge technology, which sets the brand apart. Fleet integration that allows restaurants to place Eatiko orders while retaining access to live order updates, customer feedback and localized delivery information. Eatiko recently completed 1 lakh downloads in the play store itself. And completed 5 lakh deliveries within a few years. Now, Eatiko operates in more than 10 cities across kerala. Eatiko was selected as the best emerging company by Indian Achievers’ Forum in 2021. The company is looking to expand in tier two cities around india. And they set to launch other business models other than food delivery. It will provide a number of job opportunities in various sectors.
